Abantu Artists Development
This is part of the wider vision of Abantu Arts to showcase and develop Ugandan music and Ugandan artists. This part of our work is devoted to raising awareness for young musicians in Uganda Africa, supporting young people who are already showing promise as musicians, and helping them to achieve their ambitions as players and performers in their respective areas.
Many gifted youngsters in Africa are unable to reach their potential because of lack of money, restricting their access both to formal education and music lessons and all the other elements which would contribute to their musicianship: good quality instruments, attending concerts,making recording of their music and travelling to take part in local and national music gatherings or music festivals.
We hope that we will be able to find people who are passionate about music and about the power of music to transform the lives of all of us and the lives of people in developing countries like Uganda and other parts of Africa.
We will need their help, so that we can ensure that talented young musicians in countries like Uganda are not prevented by lack of means from fulfilling their musical potential.
