We provide stimulating INSET for all teachers and carers of pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties, and also work in integrated and mainstream settings.
Our training helps build the skills staff need to be able use music confidently and creatively with children of varying abilities and across the National Curriculum.
We also run tailor-made courses for teachers to allow you let go of staff tension before or after events like Ofsted. We can also run workshops speciality aimed at, team building and improving communication among staff.
Our workshops based around African drumming and movement are an excellent way of helping staff shake off tension, stress and anxiety around Ofsted inspections.
Sessions consist of non-competitive games, letting off steam and having fun. However, there is an underlying serious intent of strengthening group trust, confidence building and leadership development.
Whole-staff workshops:
These special workshops includes Head teachers, LSA’s, school physiotherapists and secretaries and other relevant staff. The workshops can be tailored to your needs of time and numbers to suit 1, 2, or 3 days . No children attend this particular program.
Teachers Conferences
We can also provide taster workshops at conferences for those who want to get an idea of what might happen on a full day’s INSET or school workshop.
African drumming can be a great and fun icebreaker at conferences and teachers event. The workshops are very inclusive, and require no specialist skills or previous experience – just a willingness to have go.
Each person’s contribution, how ever simple, plays a vital part in the final musical result. Everyone is equal in African music making, and the driving rhythms are a wonderful way to bring a group together.
