Sample 12 day tour itinerary to Uganda

Sample 12 day Uganda trip itinerray..

Day 1 Arrival to Entebbe.

On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by our representative. Arrival on a morning or early afternoon flight will be best. You will be able to exchange money and settle in at your accommodation in Kampala and may be go for a swim at Munyonyo, chill out and have a well earned rest. Dinner will be at your accommodation.

Day 2.

Today you will wake up have your breakfast, you start the drive East to Iganga where you will be based for the mission passing through Mabira forest, the tea and sugar plantations. After a brief stop at Mabira you will continue through Jinja and over Owen falls dam where the River Nile produces electricity for Uganda. You will then go to your accommodation in Iganga for a rest because tomorrow the Mission starts for real.

Day 3.

After breakfast, you will be taken and introduced to the staff at the projects and given a guided tour of the village. After this initial introduction, you will then have the opportunity to become involved straight away. Some people will go to the Local school while others go to Suubi Medical clinic. You will take a packed lunch. Return to your accommodation for dinner.

Day 4 Orphanage/School/Suubi Clinic.

Spend the whole day at the project, where packed lunch will be provided. Go back to the accommodation in the evening for dinner.

Day 5 Orphanage/School /Suubi Clinic.

Spend the whole day at the project, where packed lunch will be provided. Go back to the accommodation in the evening for dinner.

Day 6 Orphanage/School /Busu Village .

Spend the whole day at the project, where packed lunch will be provided. Go back to the accommodation in the evening for dinner.

Day 7 Orphanage/ School /Suubi Clinic.

Spend half day at the project, where packed lunch will be provided. Say good byes to people in the village, Suubi medical clinic, School contacts etc then after this we drive to Kampala. Go back to the accommodation in the evening for dinner

Day 8 Church/ relaxing day.

After breakfast go to an early church service or just have a restful morning. After Church go back to your accommodation for lunch and then rest. At 4pm you will drive out to Ndere centre to experience Uganda’s drumming, dance, and stories from different parts of the country, presented in an open theatre. Barbeque and drinks will be served at the venue. After the event we head back to the Accommodation.

Day 9 August 15 Murchison Falls National Park.

You will leave Kampala, head to Murchison Falls National Park in the northwestern part of Uganda. On your way, you will see people doing their day to day activities that help them earn a living. With lunch en route, you will arrive in early evening and then have a short tester game drive. Check-in at your accommodation for dinner and overnight at Red Chili.

Day 10 August 16 Game drive.

We do an early morning game drive, a good time to see the predators. Other animals to see in this park are warthog, hyena, giraffe, elephant, kob and many more. This game drive will last a minimum of 4 hours; you can choose whether to have your breakfast packed before you leave for the game drive or have it when you come back from the game drive. Be back to accommodation in time to freshen up and have lunch. You will then go for the boat launch at exactly 2:00 pm; it starts at Paraa Lodge and ends at the foot of Murchison falls, lasting 3 hours. This boat trip will enable you to see Hippos, crocodiles and a lot of bird life. Dinner at your accommodation.

Day 11 August September 17 Back to Kampala.

This day, you will have a relaxed breakfast as you go back home. You will go to the top of the falls on your way out of the park. You then will have your lunch on the way back, and return to Kampala in the evening.

Day 12 August 18 Departure.

Today, you will go for shopping, pack and say your goodbyes (depending on flights). You will head off to Entebbe International Air port for your flight back home. An afternoon or evening flight will be best.

The cost for a group.

of 3-12 people £750 to 800 GBP per person
You need to raise £50 to help out with the project you will be part of. This will be used to buy material for use ie, paints etc.

The Fee Includes:

• All meals with one beverage, as listed on itinerary
• Ground transport to locations on itinerary

• Supplies for the project (separate fee)

The Cost Excludes:

• Any extra items of personal nature
• Additional snacks, drinks and beverages
• Any activities or meals not listed on the itinerary
• White-water rafting (optional)
• Tips and gratuities
• Flights
• Visa/Passport
• Vaccinations/Jabs
• Personal insurance
• Meals on arrival/departure dates not known at this time, depending on your flight times. (You pay for your own lunches these days)

NOTES:

Deposit of 20% needs to be paid on confirmation so we use it to make reservations. Complete payment should be made NO LATER than two weeks 3 weeks prior to arrive date.
