African dance Workshops ( Sessions 45-60 minutes) 
We offer a rich combination of African dance workshops with dance styles from wide range of backgrounds. Our dance teachers draw on an amalgamation of African and general traditional African dance movements
We open our African dance workshops and lessons with warm up exercises, leading to easy-dance moves which get progressively complex as the sessions go on, culminating in choreographed pieces of about 5-10 minutes.
Some schools combine African drumming and African dance workshops together. We then would run a workshop with half the time covering percussion and drumming and then African dance. We would have 2 workshop leaders in the group allowing harder and more complex rhythms to be performed. We can also run dual lessons in separate rooms then bring the children together at ‘end of day’ performance where one group acts as drum team for the dancers depending on time.
