It was really great fun
Dear Dennis

Thank you for coming in and sharing your music with us it was really great fun. I hope you will come again. The best bit that I liked was when we all played at the same time.

I had a fantastic time it was brilliant.

Dear Dennis

It was excellent to learn the drums when I played it was great. Do you always do that in Africa? All those drums where do you keep them? Do you teach other children in Africa? How come it never hurts your hands? Do you play those rhythms in Africa? Because you're very good. What do the children do anyway? I had a fantastic time it was brilliant.

Thank you for teaching me.

Thank you so very much

'ABANTU'

Is a word from Luganda language spoken by the Baganda people in Uganda but also common in many other parts of Africa and it means PEOPLE or HUMANITY.

A unique African education and arts promotion program

Working in Devon, Cornwall, somerset, South west England and all over the UK. We also run programs in Europe and USA for Schools, Colleges, Universities, youth groups, community groups and business, we use African visual and performing arts to develop cross-cultural understanding, enhancing critical thinking about Africa and other world cultures and help create respect for diversity.

ABANTU Arts was started and is run by Denis Kigongo Way hayoriginally from Uganda, but has a team of Artists, musicians, dancers, storytellers and teachers from different parts of Africa and they bring authentic experiences from culturally rich back grounds in Africa.

We want all people we work with to:

●Understand that despite physical, material and cultural differences, there is a lot that connects Africa with the rest of the world.
●Think critically and challenge injustice and inequalities in the world
●Respect and value diversity where ever they live
●Develop a concern and commitment to environmental issues and sustainable development
●Make their own effort to make the world a and better place
